2010 San Jacinto Symposium

The annual Battle of San Jacinto Symposium is the premier academic event for the Friends of San Jacinto Battleground.  The objective of the Symposium is to provide a forum for promoting public awareness and understanding of the latest scholarship on the battle of San Jacinto and the events surrounding the Texas Revolution.

The Symposium is organized by an all-volunteer Symposium Committee and is supported by a modest admission charge, DVD sales, in-kind donations, and grants.  In recent years the Symposium has also feature exhibits, book sales, display booths, and informative luncheon programs.  The Symposium is now held at the University of Houston Hilton Conference Center which offers a centrally located auditorium, dedicated luncheon ron, and overnight accommodations for out-of-town guests.  A Patron Party the night before the Symposium offers guests the opportunity to mingle with the speakers.

Our next Symposium will be held on April 17, 2010, from 9 am to 5 pm.
